Vaccines
please note: I am not a vet, I give this page as informational only. I ask that you research for yourself, education is the key to making informed decisions.
Over vaccination is a real problem. There is a ton of research out there that has proven most vaccines are unnecessary and yearly vaccination is over kill. Over vaccination can cause a litany of autoimmune problems such as vaccinosis, allergies, autoimmune hemolytic anemia, and too many others. Doing an internet search on over vaccination+dogs will provide you with more reading information than you can read in a day but below I have a few links.
Please note our vaccine protocall is the one Dr Jean Dodd's recommends, she is one of the foremost researchers in vaccines and is currently running a study on proving rabies lasts longer than 3 years in the dogs system. The Rabies Challenge Fund
The vaccines we give:
9 weeks Distemper + Parvovirus, MLV
14 weeks Distemper + Parvovirus, MLV
18 weeks Distemper + Parvovirus, MLV
I delay rabies as long as possible because it is a hard vaccine on their system.
1 year from last distemper+parvo vaccine I give another and that is it
***We DO NOT recommend any other vaccines to be given to any puppy from us.***

It is important to arm yourself with as much knowledge on this subject as you can. Many vets still push vaccinating every year. Some will insist on it and if that is the case, even after you present your side, find another vet. Some vets unfortunately are threatened by owners with knowledge. There are vets out there that will respect your feelings and know the multitude of research that has been done to prove yearly vaccines aren't necessary. Some push every 3 years but again the research shows this isn't necessary. Please arm yourself with knowledge, you are your pet's only advocate.
